This means that the wire can move freely which puts less pressure on the teeth and that means that adjustments are not uncomfortable or painful. Since these braces are self ligating that means there are no elastics to come loose and need to be adjusted.

It also means there is no place for plaque to hide on the braces and teeth. This also makes the braces less noticeable than regular braces because there are no metal bands and the brackets are smaller. The smaller brackets also mean that they are more comfortable for the inside of the cheeks and the lips while wearing the braces.
