Is There Special Care I Need To Use To Take Care Of My Braces?
Keeping any kind of braces or the teeth them selves clean is important and with this type of braces it is easier to keep them clean than regular braces. Keeping them clean means bushing several times a day, flossing and using a waterpic. This is care that should be taken of teeth with or without braces. With this type of braces because they have a smaller bracket there is less room on the teeth that are covered where bacteria can hide or can not be reached when cleaning the teeth.
When a person is correcting their teeth with this type of braces it is easier to keep them clean because there are no bands for plaque and particles of food to become trapped in, there are also no hiding places like there is with regular braces. That means that there is less chance of having teeth that get cavities while wearing braces and after they have been removed. This is because the ability to keep the teeth clean with Damon braces is easy and all of the teeth can be kept completely clean.
Since the teeth do not have the amount of discomfort when they are adjusted this also means that there is little time when flossing cannot be done. The use of a waterpic to ensure that the spaces between the teeth can also be kept clean is also possible even right after adjustments without pain.
